Two Night Volcano Adventure!

There is nothing quite as spectacular as seeing the volcano at night, and nobody takes you to where the action is quite like this special tour! Just think of the stories you can tell when you get home! 

This truly special package begins with a special welcome basket in your room of locally made cookies, music cd titled 'Robert Lewis Stevenson in Hawaii'- acustic gutiar inspired by Stevenson's poetry about Hawaii, fresh seasonal tropical fruit and fresh Tropical flowers. After settling into your luxurious suite you will be picked up at The Palms Cliff House Inn and then taken on a thrilling discovery of Kilauea Volcano.

You will begin in the Puna District on the East-side of the Big Island, and home to the best lava viewing locations. Enjoy a delicious picnic-style deli dinner with choice of beverage including sodas, juice and bottled water all at our private location before setting off for the heart of the volcano.

The tour will drive as close as safely possible before setting off on foot to find the most recent surface outbreaks and ocean entries. Watch as the black, smoking landscape changes right before your eyes as the sun sets. Skylights in the lava tube system and surface flows suddenly glow bright red as the crackle and hiss of escaping gasses and liquid rock changing to solid seems to grow louder as the lava slowly marches to the sea. New land is being created and added to the Big Island right before your eyes, just as these islands have been created for millions of years!

After your thrilling adventures viewing the volcano you will be returned to the safety and luxury of The Palms Cliff House Inn. After breakfast the next morning you will be picked up to begin exploring best that Hilo has to offer!

Start with a relaxing drive through a lush tropical forest filled with picturesque bridges over bur-bling streams and waterfalls. We will explore the spectacular Umauma Falls, the most beautiful waterfalls in Hawaii, with a unique triple-tier formation tucked deep inside the World Botanical Gardens. Then we’ll take an easy stroll through a rain-forest botanical garden where the path winds along a mountain stream and the rare plants are clearly marked for easy viewing.

Travel next to Akaka Falls, the tallest on the Big Island at more than 400 feet, before visiting a tropical fruit and coffee plantation nestled along the Wailuku River. Here you’ll savor a farm-fresh cup of coffee brewed and roasted just for you, all while feeling the power and fury of the world-famous Rainbow Falls just feet from our private viewing platform!

Upon returning to The Palms Cliff House Inn you both can enjoy a romantic couples massage.

Provided are accommodations for two for two nights, including breakfast each morning, use of military-grade flashlights, walking sticks, sunblock, dinner and drinks the first night of the tour, snacks and beverage service throughout the duration of the second tour, all entrance fees and the couples massage. If you do not wish to have the couples massage you may reduce the package price by $200. Not included in the package price are taxes and gratuity.

Note: Please wear sturdy closed toe shoes as slippers, sandals and flip-flops will not be accepted. A light jacket, hat, long pants, and sunglasses are all highly recommended. Due to the constantly changing nature of the eruption seeing molten lava cannot be guaranteed. Participants need to be comfortable walking on loose, rocky and uneven surfaces. Usually all three at the same time. Tour may be canceled at any time and participants should be prepared for immediate evacuation in accordance with directions given by County, State, and Federal officials on site.
