We are a Non-Smoking Ocean Front Property. Currently We Have NO VOG at Our Location.
Directions to The Palms Cliff House:
From Hilo:
Take Highway 19 North toward Kona. At mile marker 13, begin looking for our drive. It is 2 tenths of a mile beyond mile marker 13 on the right side of the highway. You will see the sign from a distance. Turn in the drive and proceed slowly up to the house.
From Kona or Waimea:
Take Highway 19 south toward Hilo. Once you pass the turnoff for the town of Honomu (past mile marker 14), begin looking for our drive. It is two tenths of a mile further south on Highway 19. Go past the old concrete building on the left and the drive is the next available left turn. You will see the drive and our sign from a distance.
The Area Around The Palms Cliff House Inn
Just 15 minutes north of Hilo and you are already deep in the rural countryside of the Hilo/Hamakua Coast. Known for it's rugged cliffs, high surf, and diversified agriculture.
It is in this part of the island that you will discover the ideal Hawaii. Small towns that time seems to have forgotten. Friendly smiles on every face and a real appreication to meet you and larn something about you. Many are eger to share stories of growing up "plantation style," just ask.
The rural nature of our surrounding s means that we are in a really quiet location, not heavily traveled by tourists and rarely touched by VOG. (VOG is what comes out of the Kileaua Crater and is like smog but volcanic in nature).
We have many parks and local beaches as well as great running routs and walking routs.
